This Omaha five-piece (which once featured Bright Eyes) is definitely one of those bands that sound so much better when you're wasted. My sober impressions of Fasciinatiion are that it is dark, that it has slick disco beats, and that it would be really neat if every compact disk could be sold with a free miniature strobe light and booze. My favourite song while sober is definitely Fish in a Womb because the effects on Todd Fink's voice are so interesting; it is probably the least dance-y track and reminds me of both Peter Gabriel's Up and Chariots of Fire played on a warm synthesizer.
