Simian Mobile Disco on April 19th at Club Soda06 mars | Par Stephanie EmondTags : Osheaga With a new album due in 2009, Simian Mobile Disco is off on a world tour and will, as they should, grace us with their presence. James Ford and James Shaw first got noticed in the club scene by remixing Never be Alone by Justice, which I’m sure you’ve heard at those never ending, American Apparel <sponsored> parties. Signed on Wichita Recordings, the London based duo has also spiced up tracks for other bands such as The Klaxons, Air and The Go! Team. However, it was one particular collaboration with Char Johnson that cemented their success. Hustler, released in 2006, was obviously destined for the dance floor and got DJs as well as club hoppers more and more interested in the electronic duo.
Luckily for us, on the 19th of April, Simian Mobile Disco will be stopping by the Club Soda to give us a taste of their new tracks, and probably reminisce with a couple classics. Get your tickets soon, as I’m sure they will sell out fast. In the meantime, check out the video for “Hustler”. Even though it’s not their most recent release, I know it has always been one of the most popular. I wonder why?
