While some (usually dull and boring) people regard the edgy and electronic musician Peaches as tasteless and offensive, others strongly argue that this Toronto born glam rock goddess is anything but. Peaches rose to fame with her debut album Fancypants Hoodlum in 1995 and since then she has recently released her fourth album titled I Feel Cream. Her major success in fusing musical genres such as electronica, rock, rap, and funk has led her to collaborate with noted musicians such as Iggy Pop, Beth Ditto, and Joan Jett.
Playing with relevant societal issues such as gender identities, Peaches’ music has landed in feature films such as Lost in Translation and Mean Girls. For the small price of $22.50, don’t miss watching Peaches and American rapper Amanda Blank tear up the stage at Metropolis starting at 8pm.
